Do you know what steez is? If so, how do you express your steez?
After a bit of research, I’m reasonably confident that I express my steez by remaining deeply committed to providing expert medical treatment to every patient I see at my practice.
When you were younger what was your dream occupation?
Medicine has been a singular passion of mine since I was very young.
Who/What inspired you to get into your current field?
A number of my friends and I experienced a wide range of difficulties due to allergy- and asthma-related conditions, so it was only natural that I felt a strong desire to help others address the same issues that posed a challenge for me during my youth.
What is one current trend that excites you?
It is increasingly the case that patients are better informed about medical issues and therefore better aware of the steps they need to take to ensure their health and wellbeing. As a doctor, this is an exciting development.
What would you consider your biggest accomplishment?
Other than treating patients on a daily basis, my biggest professional accomplishment is the role I’ve been able to play in helping the next generation of doctors as they progress through medical school, not to mention my role in overseeing the professional development of my staff at Premier Allergy.
What do you think of social media? Has it made an impact on your professional career?
It certainly has had an impact, and I believe it is a wholly positive one for so many reasons, including, for example, as a convenient and easily accessible educational tool.
If you were ever to start again, would you do anything differently?
I would be much more willing to delegate responsibilities to the rest of my staff. Although I wasn’t especially overbearing as a micromanager, I did take on too much at first and now recognize the value of a greater willingness to delegate.
What do you see for the future?
I’m excited about all the possibilities that exist due to the medical research we are currently in the process of conducting, all of which will potentially bring about significant benefits for patients dealing with allergy- and asthma-related issues.
