Do you know what steez is? If so, how do you express your steez?

Gang Starr always had a strong following here in Toronto, so I’ve always had a clear sense of the many different avenues available for properly expressing style and ease.

When you were younger what was your dream occupation?

I always wanted to do something different than a 9-5 job but I spent the first few years doing this while learning how to not do that. I always wanted freedom to do whatever I wanted. Starting online businesses was the answer.

Who/What inspired you to get into your current field?

I met someone with an online business about 10 years ago. I was working in Milan at the time for the sister office to my company in Boston, MA. We met for breakfast together before I went to work and he brought his laptop to the table. He checked his emails and said I made $XXX while I was sleeping last night! This blew my mind! I didn’t know it was possible to make money while you are sleeping! I asked him a million questions and 10 years later I’m doing the same thing he’s doing.

What is one current trend that excites you?

Virtual Reality is in the very early stages as an industry and I don’t think people realize the full potential of it yet. I describe it to clients this way: in the past, before computers people bought property with black and white plans. Then people wanted 3D renderings to go along with those plans as computers and graphics because mainstream. Next people will want to walk through their property before it is built. This will be the norm. Think of how huge of an industry that will become? Right now it’s not even 1% of it’s potential. In the next few years this trend will take affect and the transition will happen. I feel that Render3DQuickly Inc. is very well positioned to capitalize on that movement. I have been working hard to build a large team that can satisfy this rapid growth in the industry. I’d argue that we have the largest VR team in the world!

What would you consider your biggest accomplishment

Building a $1M business in a few years. I think we’ll push into $2M this year but going from $0 – $1M really quick felt good!

What do you think of social media? Has it made an impact on your professional career?

We don’t use social media very much currently but have plans to implement some strategies soon.

If you were ever to start again, would you do anything differently?

I would start reading books a lot sooner. I try to read 2-3 per week now but if I started reading 10 years earlier or even 1 year earlier I would have more knowledge today. Something I realized a few years ago is that successful people are successful because they have more knowledge than the average person. That’s all it is. Whether they are more successful in business, have happier relationships, more money etc. it’s because they have more knowledge in those areas and can make better decisions when decisive moments arise. One good decision based on vast knowledge compounded over months and years of good decisions equals success. It’s inevitable. So learn as much as you can.

What do you see for the future?

I see further growth in business and maintaining the #1 company in North America for 3D renderings position. I also see building other business ideas in similar industries as technology advances and more opportunities reveal themselves.

What’s one piece of advice you can tell our readers?

Let other people make excuses. Be the person that just gets things done. Whether it’s learning something you need to learn, doing something that needs to be done, reaching out to someone you need to reach out to. Just do it NOW! I’m human, my brain makes excuses too when I need to do things but I override that with just do it and relax later. Believe me I have lots of time to relax. I live a very balanced life. Muhammad Ali said “I hated every minute of training,” but I said, “Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”
